Finishing School: Edges & Binding

Mary Ellen will be your guide to completing your UFOs--from easy and quick bindings to elegant edgings that will bring out the best in your finished quilts.  You will start by learning the fastest, friendliest way to finish a quilt--bringing your backing to the front.  She will show you how make and apply a traditional double-fold binding with mitered corners and bulk-free diagonal seams for stitching by machine or hand.  And you will learn to bring inspired style to your edges with rickrack insertions, rounded and scalloped edges, ruffles and prairie points.  She will also teach you how to add a sleeve for hanging your quilt.
