Calling all machine embroiderers! Have you looked at the JuJu Christmas tree skirts and thought someday...? Well, 20256 could be the year for you to take the plunge and make this family keepsake tree skirt. Join Amy and Jacquie in the Bernina Studio to get started on your tree skirt. At the January meeting, we will walk through making one of each size block - outer, middle, and inner. You will leave with the skills to work on more blocks at home, and we will regroup for check-in and work sessions in May, August and November.

Designs by JuJu (designsbyjuju.com) offers six machine embroidery Christmas tree skirts. Each tree skirt has a theme, and the tree skirts come in various sizes, depending on your embroidery hoop size. Each tree skirt consists of 15 "wedges" and each wedge is made up of three embroidered blocks. This is a big, but very doable project. As they say...How do you eat an elephant? ONE BITE AT A TIME!! The tree skirt classes will consist of four, full day, pay-as-you-go sessions.

There is preparation work that needs to be done prior to the first class in January - downloading the designs to a USB stick, printing the detailed instructions for the tree skirt you have chosen, preparing your fabric for the first few blocks, choosing thread colors, and so on. You will receive an email confirmation with homework directions after checkout.  Students need to bring their own sewing machines in good working order. Class will be held at the BERNINA World of Sewing Wilmington Studio. No refunds if cancelled within 7 days of the class.
