Susan Brubaker Knapp, Flower Collage, May 4 10:00-4:30

This is an improvisational raw-edge collage class. Students work from photos of real flowers, create their own drawings based on abstractions of them, and then cut out pieces without patterns. They arrange the pieces, tack them down on the background with diluted school glue, and then free motion quilt the piece. An easy, fun, no-worries class. A sewing machine with a free-motion foot and extended work surface required. Supply list will be provided at a later date. Students need to bring their own sewing machines in good working order. Class will be held at the BERNINA World of Sewing Studio, 5218 Holly Ridge Drive. Just up the hill from the store. No refunds if cancelled within 7 days of the class.
